Cameron Douglas
Since graduating in 2002 from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (Bachelor of Performing Arts) Cameron has had a busy performance schedule throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Cameron‘s professional theatre debut was at The Court Theatre in My Fair Lady. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert will be his first production with Showbiz Christchurch.
Other theatre credits include: Grease, The Mikado, When the Rain Stops Falling, Blood Brothers, One Man, Two Guvnors, Romeo and Juliet, Mary Poppins, That Bloody Woman and Legally Blonde, The Musical (The Court Theatre); The Pirates of Penzance, Oklahoma and Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story (Ben MacDonald); Red and Avenue Q (Fortune Theatre); Evita (Stetson Productions); Poor Boy, Oliver and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Auckland Theatre Company); Assassins (Silo Theatre Company); Sweeney Todd (Peach Theatre Company); Once on Chunuk Bair (Imagine Theatre Trust) and That Bloody Woman (2015 Christchurch Arts Festival and Auckland Theatre Company).
His professional experience also spans television and music. Most recently he has been performing as the lead singer and acoustic guitarist of New Zealand’s premiere skiffle rock and roll band, The Goldonies. His television credits include Outrageous Fortune, Legend of the Seeker and One Night Only.
Cameron is a proud member of Equity New Zealand.
