Celine Rosa Tan

In 2011, under the National Arts Council’s scholarship programme in Singapore, Celine graduated with a Masters of Arts (Musical Theatre) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Some of her works overseas include: Fraulein Kost in Cabaret (Toy Factory, Singapore); Yehanara in The Forbidden City (Singapore Repertory Theatre); Georgie in The Full Monty (Pangdemonium Productions); the Nanny in Sunday in the Park with George (C Venues, Scotland); Brunhilde in All is Divine (Dansen Hsus, Sweden); and Sour Lips (Ovalhouse Theatre, London).

In 2006 she was voted Best Supporting Actress in the 7th DBS Life! Theatre Awards.

Celine has worked closely with award-winning musical theatre writing duo Stiles and Drewe (Honk, Mary Poppins, Half a Sixpence, The Wind in the Willows); theatre director and writer Steven Dexter (Loserville); and actor/director Darren Yap. Her voice is featured in the movie Singapore Dreaming and she is the lead character Dawan in the film animation Sing to the Dawn.

She was last seen in Stiles and Drewe’s Goldilocks and the Three Bears. This is Celine’s first production with Showbiz Christchurch.
