Kira is originally from the USA, where she attended the Orange County High School of the Arts and went on to receive her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Stephens College. Since graduating, she worked and toured regionally around the United States before moving to New Zealand in 2015. She has had the pleasure of performing with Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) and Tony nominee Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast).
She has performed with Showbiz in Wicked as Nessarose, and as a featured soloist in An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein Classics and Broadway Hitmen.
Her previous theatre credits include: Legally Blonde (The Court Theatre in 2016, Merry Go Round Playhouse in 2013); Chicago (The Court Theatre); White Christmas, Annie Get Your Gun, Sugar, 9 to 5, Miracle on 34th Street (Prather Entertainment Group); George M! (Touring production); Singin' in the Rain, The Wedding Singer, Best Little Whorehouse, Funny Girl, High School Musical (Little Theatre on the Square); 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, Damn Yankees (Gallimaufry Performing Arts); Weird Romance (USA West Coast premiere, European premiere in France and Scotland).
