Kira Josephson

Kira is originally from the USA, where she attended the Orange County High School of the Arts and went on to receive her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Stephens College. Since graduating, she worked and toured regionally around the United States before moving to New Zealand in 2015. She has had the pleasure of performing with Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) and Tony nominee Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast).

She has performed with Showbiz in Les Misérables as Fantine, Wicked as Nessarose, and as a featured soloist in An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein Classics and Broadway Hitmen.

Her previous theatre credits include Legally Blonde, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wind in the Willows (The Court Theatre); Catch Me If You Can (Blackboard Theatre Collective); White Christmas, Annie Get Your Gun, 9 to 5 (Prather Entertainment Group); George M! (Touring production); Singin’ in the Rain, Best Little Whorehouse, High School Musical (Little Theatre on the Square); 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, Damn Yankees (Gallimaufry Performing Arts); Weird Romance (USA West Coast premiere, European premiere in France and Scotland).

Kira is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild.
