Leigh Wilson

From her first performance at Burnside High School over 30 years ago, Leigh has known her life would be lived as an entertainer. She busked every weekend at the Arts Centre and enrolled at Jazz School as soon as it opened, although she only had a year of high school left to go.

25 years - and just as many shows - later, Leigh has been heavily involved with musical theatre societies around New Zealand.

Her first show with Showbiz Christchurch was in the company of the 1994 production of Les Misérables. She also played the Narrator in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, April in Hot Shoe Shuffle, The Lady of the Lake in Monty Python's Spamalot, and Madame Thénardier in the 2001 production of Les Misérables.

For nearly twenty years she and follow performer Lou Days of legendary comic pop duo The Funky Hot Mamas' performed on the corporate scene all over New Zealand and Australia.

Working now as 'Lonesome Sue' she is enjoying  semi-retirement as a solo artist.
