Ocean is a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) with a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Music Theatre).

Her previous credits include Rosie in Cabaret (NASDA) and the chorus of An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein Classics (Showbiz Christchurch).
