Oliver Davidson
Oliver began dancing at age seven and has been a member of the Senior Ballet and Jazz Companies at Southern Ballet. He completed Advanced One Jazz (NZAMD) and Advanced One Ballet (BBO). He gained Grade 8 Music Theatre (Trinity), and Grade 8 Drama (Trinity). He attended CIMTSS in 2015 and 2016.
In May 2017, Oliver performed the role of Neleus in Mary Poppins for Taieri Musical & Doug Kamo Creative Management.
Midway through 2017, Oliver was cast as Private Ralph Scobie for a film installation to commemorate the ANZAC Western Force effort at the new Sir John Monash Media Centre in Villers-Bretonneux, France which is due to be opened in April 2018.
Oliver commenced his professional debut in the 2017/18 season of Chicago at The Court Theatre.
His Showbiz Christchurch credits include the 2016 productions of in Mamma Mia!, Hairspray and Evita. Wicked is Oliver’s fourth production with Showbiz Christchurch.
Oliver has been awarded a scholarship to study at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and intends to commence this two year programme in August 2018.
