Showbiz Christchurch is a local producer of musical theatre dedicated to fostering talent and creativity within our community. In 2024, we are excited to announce our new initiative aimed at providing monthly industry-specific workshops to aspiring artists and professionals in the performing arts.
As a result, we have a full schedule of workshops planned throughout the year. Workshops are open to Showbiz members and non-members so anyone can get involved.

Choreography Masterclass with Mitchell Fistrovic Doidge

With years of experience in the industry, Mitchell Fistrovic Doidge, specialises in dance technique and choreography for all ages. Mitchell's mentoring sessions are designed to cater to your unique needs and goals. Through personalised guidance and feedback, Mitchell will help you master the intricacies of dance technique and theatre repertoire ensuring you reach your full potential. His innovative choreography will challenge and inspire you, allowing you to explore new artistic horizons.
Mitchell Fistrovic Doidge
Mitchell Fistrovic Doidge is an extraordinary artist, mentor, and creative force. With an impressive repertoire of 11 professional shows and counting, Mitchell has established himself as a true powerhouse in the industry. His credits include iconic productions such as Frozen the Musical, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever, Priscilla - Queen of the Desert and the Australian premiere of Disney's Aladdin. His talent has graced stages in Hugh Jackman's Broadway to Oz, Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom the Musical, Wicked, Mary Poppins, and the Revenge is Sweeter tour, where he supported The Veronicas. He has also made notable contributions to Dami Im's Eurovision Sound of Silence and Vanessa Amorosi's Mr Mysterious video clip. Mitchell has also been showcased in prestigious events such as Carols by Candlelight, Australia's Got Talent, The X-Factor, and The TV Week Logie Awards, where he supported Jessica Mauboy and The Rogue Traders.
Mitchell is the Co Director of RISE. RISE is improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people in the Performing Arts. We are educating young people to understand their value and worth and how to navigate what can be a tricky industry. We believe that all young people deserve to be treated with respect and that they should FEEL safe and BE safe all of the time.
