Auditions for The Saunders & Co Season of

Wicked

Show Weekend | 12 - 15 November, 2026

Showbiz Christchurch is seeking performers for our upcoming production of Wicked.

Showbiz Christchurch is now accepting audition applications for all roles in the Saunders & Co Season of Wicked.

You know the story. You know the witches. But you don’t know the whole story.

Before Dorothy arrived in Oz, two young women met at Shiz University. One would become Glinda the Good. The other would become the Wicked Witch of the West. What begins as an unlikely friendship will change the fate of Oz forever.

Packed with unforgettable characters, spectacular magic and a score of musical theatre anthems including Defying Gravity, Popular, The Wizard and I and For Good, WICKED reveals the untold story behind one of the most famous tales ever told.

Experience Oz like you’ve never seen it before.

Auditions will take place from Thursday 12th - Sunday 15th of November

You must complete the audition registration form to submit your application.

  • You will be asked to perform a one-minute excerpt of a song from Wicked for the character you are auditioning for. The songs for these three roles have very specific demands in terms of vocal qualities and range. Please choose a short excerpt from the show that highlights your ability in these areas.

  • A one minute monologue of your choosing.

Video auditions must be received by 5:00pm, Sunday 1 November 2026.

Following the video audition process, shortlisted auditionees will be invited to attend an in-person audition and movement call during our audition weekend, 12–15 November 2026.

Submission instructions will be included with the audition materials.

Please note: Video auditions are only being accepted for Elphaba, Glinda and Fiyero. All other roles will be auditioned in person (or via video submission) during audition weekend.

If you are sending a video audition for the roles of Elphaba, Glinda and Fiyero and would also like to be considered for other roles, please include this in your application form. You will not need to book an additional audition time to be considered for any other roles, your video submission will be enough.
